Dr Adam Bisaga is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University Medical College, Kraków, Poland. He is a Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center, a Research Scientist at New York State Psychiatric Institute, USA. His NIH-funded research is focused on the development of new medications to treat opioid and other substance use disorders. Dr. Bisaga is co-directing federally-funded national training, mentoring, and technical assistance programs aimed at individual practitioners and states to implement treatments for opioid use disorder. Dr. Bisaga is a member of the UN Expert Panel and the UN Office of Drugs and Crime International Scientific Network and he conducts training and addiction treatment program developments internationally.
