Ehsas For Life (NGO), Lahore in collaboration with ISSUP Pakistan Chapter, Youth Forum Pakistan (For Dug Abuse Prevention), M A Jinnah Foundation, (Regd), Sialkot and Nishan Rehab Islamabab jointly organized a one-day training workshop on Basic Counselling Skills for Addiction Treatment Professionals in Pakistan at the AFHOS Club in Lahore.
24 Participants from Lahore and from different SUD Treatment Centers participated in the training. The main objective of the training was to equip participants with advance knowledge and skills and to promote evidence-based practices in Pakistan to enhance the services offered in SUDs treatment. Mr. Shahid Mehmood, Mr. Shafique Anwar, Ms. Maafia Shehzadi facilitated the training as trainers. Mr. Waseem Hassan General Secretary Ehsas For Life was also present. During the closing ceremony Mr. Muhammad Aslam shared a brief introduction of ISSUP Global as well as ISSUP Pakistan Chapter and motivated the participants to become a member of ISSUP. Chief Guest Mr. Bashir Ahmad Naz assured his continued support to such activities and awarded certificates to training participants for the successful completion of the one-day training on Basic Counselling Skills of Addiction Professionals.
