ISSUP Uganda is commited to Having a professional, well-trained workforce that shares relevant knowledge and evidence-based practices in relation to substance abuse prevention, treatment and recovery support.
ISSUP Uganda organised a Training on Women’s Intervention of Substance Exposure : Comprehensive care for Substance USe Disorder (WISE) Course 1 at Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital from 12th to 16th August 2024 led by Mr.Grace Bikumbi a certified International trainer and board member of the ISSUP Uganda chapter.
The training attracted a total of 35 participants and was graced by Dr David Basangwa , comissioner GCCC who argued the participants to use the knowledged acquired to the betterment of the health profession but also to pass the information to other coleagues at their places of work as this will create synergy in service delivery but also ensure that the principle of Do No Harm is upheld.
