"International standards of treatment of disorders related to the use of narcotic substances"

"International standards of treatment of disorders related to the use of narcotic substances"

(hereinafter referred to as the Standards) is the result of joint work of the UNC and WHO aimed at providing support to member states in the development and establishing of effective, based on the principles of evidence-based medicine and ethical principles of treatment of disorders related to the use of narcotic substances.

The standards are for all those involved in the development, planning, financing, provision, monitoring and evaluation of treatment and intervention services for disorders related to the use of narcotic substances.

This document draws on the existing practice of treatment of disorders related to the use of narcotic substances, based on evidence-based data and defines the mechanism of implementation of the Standards in accordance with the principles of public health. The standards define the basic components and features of effective treatment systems for drug-related disorders and describe treatments and interventions tailored to individual needs at different stages and severity of drug-related disorders in a manner consistent with the treatment principles of any chronic disease or condition.

We are pleased to announce that from now on the Standards are also available in Ukrainian translation!
