This document responds to the need to have tools that are standardized for the comprehensive management of alcohol withdrawal syndrome in clinical practice. The working group that developed this document was based on the clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome, hospital in 2003. This guide has been revised and updated in order to integrate the new evidence published in this respect, the 7 years before 2011.
