Dr. Raghda Algamil, is the current Director of Addiction treatment department in General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt. she started her career in public governmental services years ago as the Head of Developed Rehabilitation Unit for Male Addiction Treatment. Heliopolis Psychiatric Hospital for 8 years. She is a consultant of Psychiatry and addiction medicine, as well as an active member in a number of national scientific and executive committees such as The National Scientific Committee for developing Guidelines for HIV treatment, the National committee for implementing the Act of Alternative Measures to punishment and the National higher committee for implementation of harm reduction strategies in Egypt. She was selected as a national UNODC consultant in different projects including:
- Development of National Guidelines for Medication Assisted Treatment using OST in Egypt
- And development of A guide for released male and female prisoners about governmental and non-governmental agencies concerned with health support in Egypt.
