Dr. Prapapun Chucharoen led the creation and establishment of the Non-Degree (Training), master (MA) and postgraduate (PHD) addiction study program at Mahidol University. She completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2003 and Research fellowship at Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2008.

She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Public Health and Development. She is also a member of the Asian Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (APSN), and The Society for Neuroscience (SFN). She is the former of Director of the Education and Research Department of the National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University.

Her research specialty is in the field of Child and Family Development, and Substance Use Disorder. Dr.Prapapun was appointed to the Colombo Plan’s ICCE Commission and serves as an Educational Provider and Lead of the Asia Pacific Regional Collaboration Center of ICUDDR.
