My name is Luhya and I am a 23 years old Special Educator. I have been working as a teacher since I was 19 and have recently started working as a part-time lecturer at a local college.
I finished my postgraduate studies in education earlier this year and have been interested in doing research on various social issues that are on going in my country, the Maldives. The Maldives is a small developing country that requires research in a variety of fields including the area of substance use.
I believe that initiatives like this will put pressure on both local and international policymakers to make the necessary reforms to address such concerns in our society.
