Mr. Nguyen Cuu Duc, Ph.D. is Deputy Director General of the Department of Science, Education, Culture and Social Affairs, Office of the Government of Vietnam. He is also a member of the National Committee on AIDS, Drugs and Prostitution Control of Vietnam and advisor of the International Technology Transfer Center in Vietnam.
After the H. Humphrey fellowship year at VCU in 2006-2007, he took over the post of Director of the Drug Advisory Programme (DAP), the Colombo Plan Secretariat, an inter-governmental organization of 26 member countries in the Asia-Pacific based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In 2011, he went back to Vietnam to serve for the Government of Vietnam. He has introduced andinitiated evidence-based drug demand reduction programs in Vietnam.
