Professor Dr. Salman Shahzad is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and working as Professor of Clinical Psychology, at the Institute of Clinical Psychology, the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He is currently leading as Clinical Incharge, and Incharge “Research and Training Unit for prevention and treatment of SUD” at the Institute of Clinical Psychology (ICP).
He completed his specialization in substance use prevention and treatment, education and policy as Fulbright Humphrey Fellow from Virginia Commonwealth University, USA, 2016-17. He is one of the Global Master Trainer and prevention Coordinator for prevention and treatment in Substance Use(UPC;UTC).
He is professionally associated with numerous internationals organizations and associations in the field of mental health and substance use prevention and treatment. . He has developed indigenous manualized prevention and treatment interventions/programs on mental health and substance use prevention and treatment, and he has also been part of development and adapting these interventions in local context.
