Michael Ezenwa is a Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University where he serves as a member of the Directorate of Psychological and Counselling Services, the Research Ethics Committee and the Programme Coordinator, Master of Science Degree and Professional Master of Science Degree in Employee Assistance Programme. He also initiated and coordinates the Master of Science Degree in Addiction Intervention in the Department of Psychology.
With a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology, he has conducted research activities for organisations including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Prisoners' Rehabilitation and Welfare Action, and Women for Women International.
He served as the National President of the Nigerian Psychological Association. He is a member of the National Executive Council of the ISSUP Nigeria chapter and the South East Zonal Coordinator of the organisation. In 2021, he won the Best ISSUP Zonal Coordinator in Nigeria Award.
