Teachers Training Anuradhapura Education Zone

A training workshop on drug prevention and counseling for 64 teachers engaged in counseling in the Anuradhapura Education Zone was held on the 16th of October 2024 at the Anuradhapura Cooperative Hall.

For this occasion, teachers representing 64 schools were involved and they highlighted the contents of this training with great interest.

The resource contribution of this program was borne by the Preventive Education and Training Division of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board and the financial contribution was borne by the Anuradhapura Zonal Education Office.

The early stages of the work led to the exploration of protective and risk factors in the micro and macroenvironment within the etiological regulatory context of disease outbreaks embedded in the UPC universal curriculum series.

In addition to this, the teachers engaged in counseling were also trained in the Stress Meter activity to manage their stress during the highly complex counseling sessions that arise.
