The ISSUP team held a three-day staff meeting in Windsor, UK from 7 – 9 February 2017. The meeting offered a chance to reflect on the organisation’s achievements so far, as well as to consider and evaluate its future objectives which will look to further ISSUP’s contribution to the professionalisation of the substance use prevention and treatment workforce.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to welcome in person Joanna Warburton, Bilkis Achha and Antonius Riva Setiawan, the three newest members of the ISSUP team. Joanna takes on the role of Finance Manager, whereas Bilkis and Riva fill the positions of Web Developer and National Chapters Coordinator, respectively.
Based in Poole, Joanna joins ISSUP after previously working for Barclay’s Bank and a career-break taken to raise her two children. Similarly, UCL Computer Science graduate Bilkis joins having worked for Nokia and raising a family of her own. An expert in the field of drug prevention, Riva, on the other hand, links up with the ISSUP team following a time at the Colombo Plan. All will play a significant part in helping the organisation fulfil its aims in the year that lies ahead.
