Training in New Psychoactive Substances

This training raises awareness of new issues in the field of psychoactive drugs, including their history, spread, available types and the risks presented by them. The course is relevant to anyone who needs an overview of the issues surrounding novel psychoactive substance use, such as professionals in social care, education and justice sectors, voluntary and community sector workers, parents and guardians or those wishing to broaden their own knowledge.
By the end of the training, learners will:
- Have a knowledge of the range of psychoactive substances
- Understand how new technologies influence access to psychoactive substances
- Understand current legislation relating to novel psychoactive substances
- Understand what motivates individuals to use novel psychoactive substances.
This one-day training course can be arranged on an individual basis.
