The 19th International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) Annual Conference will be held in Abu Dhabi, October 26th - 29th, 2017. "New frontiers" is the focus of the meeting where recent scientific discoveries in the field of addiction will be highlighted, as well as challenges facing the Middle East as it confronts the new reality of addiction among its youth. The scientific presentations will address global and local issues so that the exchange of knowledge will be effortless and immediate. This year the conference will also have expert panel sessions and a forum for the public to allow for learning, exchange between clinicians who are deeply versed in research methods and the public to gain the most from the conference.
Topics that will be presented include recent findings in : etiology, prevention, neurobiology & genetics of addictions, behavioral addictions, pharmacological interventions, special populations and drug courts and many other relevant topics.
