Online Learning Module: The Effects of Cannabis Use during Adolescence

The effects of cannabis use during adolescence

The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse(link is external) (CCSA) has released an engaging learning module(link is external) that provides evidence-based information on the effects of cannabis use during adolescence. The module is based on CCSA's report(link is external) on the psychological, social and health-related effects of marijuana use among young people. It's a great resource for parents, teachers, health care providers, social workers and anyone else concerned about the well-being of young people. The module covers four far-reaching questions:

  • How does cannabis use affect the brain and behaviour of young people?
  • Is there a link between cannabis use and mental health?
  • Is cannabis addictive?
  • What interventions are available for cannabis use disorders?
