Kristiana Siste

Kristiana Siste, MD, PhD, is the Chairperson of the Psychiatry Department, Medical Faculty, Universitas Indonesia–Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital.

As one of the International Society of Addiction Medicine Researchers Awardees, currently she is also the vice-chairperson of the Addiction Psychiatry Section in the Indonesian Psychiatric Association, an advisory board for the National Narcotics Board, and behavioral addiction expert in WHO. She developed the first treatment center for patients with behavioral addiction as a national referral in Indonesia.

She constantly collaborates with experts from around the world–such as Japan, Netherlands, and Australia–to help shape the scientific knowledge of substance addiction, behavioral addiction, and HIV-AIDS. She is awarded numerous grants, utilized for publications in Scopus-indexed Q1 journals and development of SUD and internet addiction prevention application.

She also delivers the addiction module for undergraduate program to addiction psychiatry subspecialty program, which she pioneers to raise addiction psychiatrists in Indonesia.
