Dr. Sultan Albrahim is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Naufar, the national substance use disorder service for Qatar. Dr. Albrahim specializes in treating Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions, leveraging his extensive clinical experience across Saudi Arabia, United States, and Qatar. Dr. Albrahim's expertise extends beyond his clinical practice as he holds an MBA.
He played a key role in leading the Outpatient Department's transition to Naufar's recovery-oriented model of care. Currently, Dr. Albrahim serves as a multidisciplinary lead for the inpatient unit and spearheads several innovative SUD treatment initiatives, including the Alternative to Incarceration Program and the Employee Assistance Program. He represents the Middle East in the Global Recovery Network.
