Building on our previous CPD courses on tobacco control and alcohol policy, the UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies is delighted to be offering the CPD course on nicotine and tobacco again in 2018!
Successfully introduced in 2015, the course is aimed at professionals working in a range of organisations who are interested in public health and policy in the UK or internationally. The module is taught by world-leading academics and practitioners.
The 22nd International AIDS Conference will take place in Amsterdam from 23-27th July 2018.
The conference will explore topics such as innovations around HIV and substance use, epidemiology of indigenous populations, models of prevention, drugs and drug policy, and meeting the needs of young people from key populations.
With generous support from Alcohol Research UK, the purpose of the day is to encourage the interplay and exchange of knowledge and ideas around the subject of drugs and alcohol. Speakers will be provocative and challenge received wisdoms with counter narratives. Respectful and evidenced challenge is encouraged by all attendees. There will be three main presentations and seven "lightning talks" intended to spark discussion, thought and actions.
Public Health 2018 is the national forum where public health professionals, researchers, policy-makers, academics, students and trainees come together to strengthen efforts to improve health and well-being, to share the latest research and information, to promote best practices and to advocate for public health issues and policies grounded in research.
