The growing number of overdoses and deaths caused by opioids, including fentanyl, is a national concern in Canada. Solutions must be compassionate and collaborative, and address both the immediate crisis of overdose and death as well as their root causes. The Government of Canada is committed to showing federal leadership and working with partners across Canada to address this important issue. The Opioid Conference will bring together a broad range of speakers and participants for a national dialogue on actions to address and reduce the harms related to opioids in Canada.
