Webinar: Getting Upstream to Reduce the Opioid Epidemic: A Fully Integrated Whole Team Approach to Prevent Opioid Dependency before It Starts
Since 2000, there has been a 200 percent increase in opioid-related deaths. Federal and state governments have declared “states of emergency” and funds are now being allocated for crisis response such as increased naloxone access points, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options and legislation and formulary changes to restrict dosing and supply of prescription opioids.
Still, more attention must be devoted to rethinking the health care response to pain before dependency manifests. Do you know how to support a person in addressing their pain, or how a practitioner can use an “opioid-free” approach?
To learn how, join our strategic partner, Relias, on Thursday, February 22 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET for the webinar, Getting Upstream to Reduce the Opioid Epidemic: A Fully Integrated Whole Team Approach to Prevent Opioid Dependency Before It Starts.
During this webinar, participants will:
- Understand each role of the office team and their contribution to a safe pain management approach
- Identify three ways behavioral health clinicians can contribute to a new standard of care for pain management
- Understand how to use data to identify risk characteristics for future opioid dependency
Understand alternatives for care based on the level of risk for dependency, overdose and death.
This webinar is a free event, and no CEUs or certificates of participation are provided. All registrants will receive a copy of the recorded webinar and slides if you cannot attend the live event.
