World AIDS Day Event - An Update on the HIV Outbreak
World AIDS Day takes place on 1 December each year. It’s an opportunity for people to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first-ever global health day.
Join Scottish Drugs Forum (SDF) and partners for an update & discussion event this World AIDS Day to hear up to date information on the outbreak of HIV affecting people who inject drugs in Glasgow – focussing on the impacts the Covid pandemic has had, hearing about new innovations in the prevention of HIV and how treatment services have adapted to meet the needs of this client group.
The presentations will be followed by breakout room discussions for those wishing to take part in a conversation around how we achieve zero HIV transmissions among people who inject drugs in Scotland by 2030.
