Alcohol Availability - Research Design & Data.
The UK-Ireland Alcohol Research Network (AcoRN) would like to invite you to its third webinar, which will be held via Zoom on Wednesday 13th April from 10-11:30am. The webinar will be focused on the availability of alcohol and feature the following inputs:
• An overview of recent and current policy developments across the island of Ireland, Dr Joanna Purdy (Public Health Ireland)
• Data and research designs to better understand the impact of alcohol availability on harms and inequalities, Prof. Niamh Shortt (University of Edinburgh) and Prof. Niamh Fitzgerald (University of Stirling).
• This will include an exploration of data sources on alcohol availability, how they can be linked to harms and inequalities in local areas, and the latest research on how opening hours influence harms.
Audience: This webinar is aimed at those interested in better understanding research on availability, and especially academics who are keen to be part of this kind of research in Ireland.
