The Strong Families Program Facilitators’ Training of Trainers (ToT) Report

The Strong Families program is designed to help families deal with challenges that may arise in association with life in low-resource areas. Both adults and children often deal with the effects of high unemployment and overcrowding as well as a lack of safe housing and conflict in the family and neighborhood. Sometimes, lack of adequate money makes it difficult to provide even basic food for survival. The added stress for caregivers and their children can cause anxiety, depression, trouble sleeping and increased irritation or anger. However, this program is not meant for adults or children who are having severe reactions to hardships and stress as part of the recent contract with the financial support of the people of Japan through UNODC, WADAN is pleased to implement the evidence-based prevention program, the Strong Families Program, in the provinces of Helmand, Kandahar, and Badakhshan the SFP after the mapping of facilitators in the respective provinces with the coordination, technical and financial support of the UNODC Kabul office WADAN successfully conducted The Training of Trainers (ToT) on Strong Families in Kabul, bringing together 28 participants The training aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and methodologies to further implement the Strong Families program in their respective regions.
