CNPT Consensus Paper on Devices Likely to Release Nicotine

The emergence on the scene of new electronic products related to smoking in our environment is a serious threat to the health of the population. The absence of regulation or the presence of regulation subject to the interests of the tobacco industry (current owner of most of these new products) threatens the achievements made in public health in the various countries in protecting the population from problems arising from tobacco use; Spain through Law 28/2005 and its subsequent amendments.
The objective of this report is to present a consensus paper, with proven and scientific evidence, on a specific type of these devices: those that do not contain tobacco, but do contain nicotine, more commonly known as e-cigarettes (EC).
