E-Cigarettes Less Addictive Than Traditional Cigarettes, Study Finds

E-cigarettes are less addictive than traditional cigarettes, according to a new study published in the journal Preventative Medicine.

That said, around 75% of e-cigarette smokers still consider themselves to be dependent on their use.

Moreover, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society recommends that pharmacists should not encourage the use of unlicensed e-cigarettes for those intending to quit smoking. 

Rather, it advises that licensed products, such as nicotine patches or chewing gums, which are subject to safety standards and have been clinically proven to be effective, should be promoted instead.
