Provisions under the Philippine Republic Act No.9165 or RA 9165 which is known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002", there was no instance that the words: "addiction", "addict" were used. Instead, words such as "abuse", "drug dependence", "use, "user", "pusher", "victim" and "minor offender" or "violator" were cited in the said law.
