The Closing Ceremony of Basic Counseling Training and Handover of ICAP 1 Certificates

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) has organized a five-day long Basic Counseling Training for Addiction Professionals, including doctors, counselors, managers and other staff from the country’s different drug treatment and rehabilitation centers. The training was held from 15-19 July 2018 at the Training room of the Health Sector, Dhaka Ahsania Mission.

Director (Treatment and Rehabilitation), Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) Mr. Mofidul Islam was present as the Chief Guest in the training closing session and handed over the certificates to the ICAP Level passed candidates. Head of Health Sector, Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) and Global Master Trainer Mr. Iqbal Masud presided over the closing session.

The Global Centre for Credentialing and Certification (GCCC) of Colombo Plan has recognized Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) as an Education Provider for enhancing the capacity of professionals in drug treatment. It aims to enhance the knowledge, skills and competency level of addiction professionals by providing them with a solid foundational understanding of the science of addiction and latest information on evidence-based practices in treatment and interventions for clients and families.
