The report explores the number of people admitted for treatment and the range of substances people may have been seeking treatment for showing cannabis to be the most prevalent drug being used. Also mentioned are the substances methcathinone and Mandrax the brand name for a sedative, methaqualone. These substances are not widely used globally and this data presents a good insight into South African drug trends.
