UTC 5 Training, Refresher Course and ICAP 1 Exam Held in Tunisia

To promote evidence-based interventions in the treatment of drug use disorders, the UNODC Prevention Treatment and Rehabilitation Section (PTRS) supported the final training session on admission, screening, evaluation, treatment planning and documentation for professionals in drug addiction, with the Head Global Master Trainer of the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) in French-speaking West Africa. The session was assisted by the UNODC Mentor in Côte d’Ivoire, and took place from 25th February to 4th March 2020, in Tunis, Tunisia. 17 out of 18 Tunisian treatment professionals that took the ICAP 1 certification exam, coordinated by the National Institute of Public Health, Ministry of Health of Tunisia, successfully passed the accreditation examination on March 5, 2020 (with a passing rate of 94%).
