Abstract

This presentation offers a comprehensive framework for policy and funding advocacy with universal relevance. Attendees will explore how to accomplish advocacy objectives and goals based on securing resources and managing major policy initiatives to advance effective drug demand reduction across the continuum of care.

This session will also teach attendees how to map out their advocacy strategies and influence elected officials and other key decision-makers to prioritize drug demand reduction as a higher priority for emphasis at every level of government. This presentation will also discuss conducting a power analysis to ensure policy practitioners work within governance structures to achieve drug demand reduction policy goals.
