Abstract

Increasingly, recovery from a substance use disorder is being recognized as a distinct point on the continuum of care for someone affected by a substance use disorder requiring its own research agenda, policies, organizational infrastructure and set of services. Additionally, people with lived experience are being included not only in service delivery models but also in critical leadership and policy development roles.

This session will highlight some of more important challenges and opportunities that are encountered in making recovery a reality for all.
