IntNSA Annual Conference 2025: Call for Abstracts

The International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA) invites you to submit an abstract for oral and/or poster session at the Annual Educational Conference!

The International Nurses Society on Addictions announces a call for abstracts to be presented at the 47th Annual Educational Conference. This conference benefits all individuals working in the field of Addictions and provides an educational opportunity to learn evidence-based approaches to tackling the addictions crisis across the globe. It is expected that this year’s IntNSA conference will attract the greatest number of participants ever, with plenary and concurrent sessions, numerous sponsors and exhibits, and a silent auction to help support the Foundation of Addictions Nursing (FAN). Continuing education credits in nursing are available. Prior to registration, if not currently a member on IntNSA, please consider joining to receive a discounted conference registration fee. Please also consider sharing this opportunity with colleagues and even potentially bringing one with you to share in the scientific knowledge and information about evidence-based practice in addictions, as well as the fellowship that defines International Nurses Society on Addictions conferences.

Abstracts for the 2025 IntNSA Conference may be submitted to one of three categories:

Education:

• Curricula, Quality Improvement, and Program Evaluation – These abstracts report on evaluations of educational curricula, quality improvement projects, and/or innovative program initiatives and must include problem (and the change that is needed), evidence appraisal and synthesis, implementation strategies for practice change, evaluation (results), and lessons learned.
• Research – These abstracts report on original research and must include the problem/purpose, objective (specific aims), design and methods, results and conclusions.
• Clinical Case Presentations – These abstracts describe an illustrative case that reinforces specific skills or competencies for the care of substance use or addictive disorders across the services continuum, and/or specific educational objectives.

Inclusivity:

• Diversity, Equity, Inclusion - These abstracts will report on original research of a person, organization, or institution, specific to the identified problem, evidence appraisal, synthesis, implementation, and evaluation, among lessons learned, as it pertains to a nursing related field or addictions-oriented field. Such topics can include implementation of a DEI program, workforce diversity initiatives, appraisal of organizational function as it pertains to DEI opportunities, methodologies for planning, implementing, and evaluating diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workforce/workplace.

Advocacy:

• These abstracts will report on original research of a person, organization, or institution, specific to identified problem(s), evidence appraisal, synthesis, implementation, and evaluation, among lessons learned as it pertains to a nursing related field or addictions-oriented field.

Submit abstracts for the IntNSA Conference in one of the following formats:

• Live/In-Person Oral Presentation (up to 25 minutes including Q & A; up to 50 minutes including Q & A)
• Live/In-Person Poster Presentations
