This session will explore ways in which parents and schools can protect young people from problematic alcohol and drug use.
We know that health outcomes for many children and young people are poor. When it comes to the role of education, every learning setting, working with partners, should take a holistic approach to promoting and learning about health and wellbeing.
It is estimated that in Latin America there are more than 2 million children and adolescents who have one of their parents deprived of their liberty and that of these, almost half a million live in this situation due to the mass incarceration of people for minor non-violent drug crimes.
