This seminar addresses the use of social media as a platform to implement preventive strategies. Recommendations for the use of media for prevention will be given and an example of application will be presented.
The main elements when creating a persuasive communication campaign will be analyzed; it will indicate what works and what does not in media-based prevention of psychoactive substance use; and an example of application in a Latin American country will be offered.

At the end of the session, participants will:

Understand and apply the main tools of persuasion in media-based prevention.

Learn how to create effective persuasive messages for prevention campaigns.

Analyse and evaluate the successes and failures of communication campaigns to prevent the use of psychoactive substances.
