From July 29 to August 2, the ISSUP Panama Chapter held a training session on the Universal Treatment Curriculum for Faith-Based Organizations.
The closing ceremony was attended by
- Rubén Farje, OAS Ambassador in Panama;
- Jissel Maitin, Executive Secretary of CONAPRED;
- Andrea Escobar, Officer of the Demand Reduction Department at CICAD;
- Bárbara Correa, ISSUP National Chapter Regional Coordinator for Latin America and Spain;
- Mónica Álvarez, Executive Director of the Panamanian White Cross (National Chapter host organization); and
- Calixta de Balmaceda, ISSUP Panama Director.
The trainers for the event were Father Charlie, Diego Camacho, and Jorge Villatoro.
This event saw the successful completion of the course by 34 participants. The training was supported by CICAD/OAS.
