Substance Use and COVID-19

Dave Alexander - 19 August 2020

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), on March 11, 2020.  A state of emergency was declared in Grenada by the Governor General on March 25, 2020, through Statutory Rules and Orders No. 12 of 2020, Emergency Powers (Covid-19) Proclamation; aimed at reducing the risk of transmission and to mitigate problems which could arise consequently.

In response to the situation, the Drug Control Secretariat , Grenada, implemented a public awareness campaign, to address the issue of substance use and COVID-19. Thirteen (13) poster messages were produced and distributed electronically between March and May 2020, on the theme, ‘Substance Use and COVID-19’.

Attached are some of the posters.
