The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in collaboration with the University of California San Francisco Clinical Toxicology and Environmental Biomonitoring (CTEB) Laboratory has identified a new cathinone, alpha-piperidinobutiophenone (α-PipBP), in a urine sample submitted to their New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) surveillance program (This report was prepared by Roy Gerona, Ross Ellison, and Jordan Trecki).
