Presentation at the Twenty-Third Meeting of CICAD’s Demand Reduction Experts Group on October 19th, 2022

On October 19, Mr. Jameel Huggins of the RISE YOUTH Program had the chance to speak as the Youth in drug use prevention showcasing the work of young leaders in Latin America and the Caribbean at the twenty-third meeting of CICAD's Demand Reduction Experts Group, chaired by Mexico and vice-chaired by Panama. From 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Washington, D.C. time, on Tuesday, October 18, and Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the meeting was conducted virtually. Some of the subjects covered were:

• Importance of prevention
• Why is it important for a nation to prevent health and social problems?
• The RISE YOUTH Program
• Other Programs being completed in Latin America and the Caribbean
• YOUTH Declaration:  12 to 16 May 2022 – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
