Three quarters of male daily smokers live in countries with medium or high Human Development Index (HDI), whereas half of female daily smokers live in very high-HDI countries. The attached image shows male and female daily smokers globally, of 10 or more years of age, in 2015, by country Human Development Index (HDI).
