Dying for an E-Cigarette?

The use of e-cigarettes has increased dramatically in recent years. New research suggests that besides acting as a gateway to tobacco smoking, ‘vaping’ can also potentially damage your health in other ways. A study undertaken at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California examines the link between e-cigarette smoking and persistent coughing, congestion, phlegm and bronchitis amongst adolescents. Researchers found that the risk of developing respiratory symptoms was around 85% higher amongst past users compared to those who have never tried an e-cigarette. Similarly, the risk was approximately 50% higher amongst current users.
