ISSUP-4 Youth Presentations to Policymakers
On December 14, 2018, participants of the African Youth Forum in Nairobi, Kenya, presented to policymakers from around the world on how they identified threats related to substance use in their communities and their action plans to bring about change. Delegates also presented a youth declaration against substance use and in favor of health. The event was sponsored by the Colombo Plan with funding from the United States Department of State (INL Bureau) and trained by Community Anti Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA). The Youth Forum was one of 22 concurrent events occurring during the 4th Workshop of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), in partnership with Kenya's National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
