Program Manager – Substance Use Disorders
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Clinical Program Manager to work in our new Substance Use/Opioid Use Disorder Program. The Program Manager provides leadership to the team including the provision of staff supervision, fiscal accountability, risk management, and participation in short and long-range planning of services to meet the needs of the community. The Program Manager is also expected to conduct comprehensive assessments, bio-psycho-social intakes and psychotherapy to a small caseload of clients to supplement the clinical needs of the program.
Responsibilities
- Assures quality of clinical services of the team/program by establishing performance standards and quality of care indices, providing clinical consultation and direction to staff, and developing new and innovative programming based on needs assessments, outcome data, and research and industry standards.
- Provides supervision to staff working in the program, assisted by the Directors of Substance Use Services and Choices.
- Manages administrative/program operations to optimize efficient service delivery by maintaining communication between Concord Hospital Substance Use Services, Choices, other Riverbend programs and community providers.
- Provides consistent leadership to the program in support of quality services and attainment of program and agency goals.
- Oversees collaborative relationships with community organizations and providers to ensure smooth transitions to care for people presenting to the program.
- Assures compliance with documentation and quality assurance requirements.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring that the conditions of the Access and Delivery HUB for Opioid Use Disorder Services contract are met.
- Ensures the data collection requirements are met and reported to the state of NH in a timely manner.
- Provides direct services to clients of the program as needed.
- Participates in administrative on-call rotation.
- Works in collaboration with other NH HUBs attending local, state and national meetings as needed.
- Advances professional practice by formulating staff development plans, ensuring that all staff complete required trainings, and monitoring staff performance through supervision and coaching.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Active NH Licensure as LCMHC, LICSW, or LMFT or ability to be licensed required.
- Active NH Licensure as LADC or MLADC preferred.
- Training in crisis intervention services, risk management, assessment of suicide potential and integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in provision of behavioral health treatment including a minimum of 3 years in substance use disorder treatment required.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Training and experience in providing crisis emergency and co-occurring services required.
- Experience with program development preferred.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills are required.
- A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative is preferred.
