Dr. Nagy graduated from Medical School , Ain Shams University, Cairo , Egypt 1988. She completed her residency in Neurology and Psychiatry 1990- 1993 and had Masters Neuropsychiatry 1992 and MD degree in psychiatry 1996.
She became Professor of Psychiatry 2007-now . She is head of Psychiatry and addiction department . Her research interests include biological psychiatry , addiction and cultural psychiatry . She published and contributed books teaching Psychology and Psychiatry and published 200 scientific papers for several international journals.
She is currently Editor for Current Psychiatry Journal .
She is Honorary Member of World Psychiatric Association ( WPA),and worked as WPA Zonal representative for Northern Africa and Secretary section religion, spirituality and mental health 2009-now .
She is member of the scientific committee for the evaluation of the scientific research presented for the promotion to the positions of assistant professor and professor in the field of psychiatry 2013-now.
