September is globally recognized as International Recovery Month. To inspire individuals recovering from substance abuse, many countries around the world celebrate Recovery Month during this time. In alignment with this global initiative, the Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment & Rehabilitation Center celebrated International Recovery Day, with the participation of women who have successfully recovered from addiction after receiving treatment at the center.
On Monday, September 30, a vibrant celebration was held at the Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment & Rehabilitation Center in Shyamoli, Dhaka. The event featured poetry recitations, cultural performances, cake-cutting by patients undergoing treatment, sports activities, and various other colorful programs to mark the day.
Notably, in 2014, Dhaka Ahsania Mission’s Health Sector established the country’s only comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation center for female drug dependents.
