This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Public Health Analyst, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
- Leading interagency task forces and workgroups and facilitates meetings with external partners and stakeholders.
- Coordinating work within CSAP and SAMHSA on behavioral health services for people with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Serving as a liaison between program staff and Office of the Director.
- Providing and coordinating training, technical assistance (TA), knowledge dissemination and program support on topics of behavioral health services for people with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Staying abreast of national trends, emerging issues, legislation, the latest research and best practices, CSAP/SAMHSA/Federal programming and initiatives, and data gleaned from programs and surveys.
- Developing public-facing resources such as white papers, issue briefs, journal articles, fact sheets and toolkits, as well as briefing binders and talking points for leadership.
