Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the 6th Freemind International Congress, Dr. Quirino Cordeiro Junior - National Secretary for Drug Care and Prevention - announced that a TECHNICAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT had been signed between ISSUP Brasil and the Union, through the Ministry of Citizenship and through the National Secretariat for Drug Care and Prevention - SENAPRED / MC.

This important agreement promotes a joint effort between the parties to carry out studies, actions and strategies for the prevention of chemical dependence on licit and illicit drugs, in the light of the guidelines of Federal Decree No. 9761/2019 and updates brought by Law. No. 13,840 / 2019 and integrating internationally renowned experts.

Under this Cooperation Agreement, the parties will undertake:

- Training through the UPC (Universal Prevention Curriculum) and UTC (Universal Treatment Curriculum) Curricula;

- Accomplishment of actions, events and campaigns;

- Accomplishment of actions directed to schools through the Prevention Turns, with playful actions of dances, theater and music;

- Strengthen the participation of all Brazilian Institutions and Entities with ISSUP Brazil, fostering relations between the countries that have National Chapters, in a total of 20 countries today, by improving capacities focused on drug prevention;

- Encourage Brazilian Universities to participate in ICUDDR - International Consortium of Universities;

- Encourage research and statistical surveys, using models already established by international entities.
