Olha Myshakivska is an MD psychiatrist currently working as a researcher in the Institute of Psychiatry, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Dr. Myshakivska completed her medical studies at the Lviv National Medical University and was awarded MD with specialization in psychiatry. Between 2013 and 2017, she pursued a PhD degree at the Ukrainian Research Institute for Social and Forensic Psychiatry in Kyiv, where she researched the course of neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with dementia over time.
Dr. Myshakivska participates in international and local trainings as an integral part of her continuous professional education, as it provides an opportunity to discuss matters with academic experts and professionals from different countries and with different prior experiences.
In 2014, Dr. Myshakivska was selected for the ATTC project and started the course of educational trainings that served to deepen her knowledge in the field of addictions and drug demand reduction. Currently, she conducts trainings, supervisions, and helps to improve the motivational interviewing skills among specialists who work with people using substances. She is further advancing her professional education by participating in UTC trainings. Since February 2019, she have been the National Trainer and Supervisor of MHGAP-IG, and since October 2019 - National Trainer and Supervisor of Ukraine I-ATTC.
