Steve led NIDA International Programme for 22 years, providing exceptional service and leadership in the drug demand reduction field in three interrelated areas:
- Research Funding: Helping NODA craft funding opportunities, supporting more than 100 research grants in 40 countries
- Building Capacity: Expanded NODA involvement in the State Department Humphrey Fellowships, added new research exchange programmes and created postdoctoral fellowships.
- Information Exchange: The annual NIDA International Forum has grown in length, attendance and impact.
