ISSUP کینیا د کینیا پوهنتون سره د ارواپوهنې د څانګې له لارې خبرو اترو ته داخل شوی دی، چې د متقابلو هدفونو ، پروګرامونو او فعالیتونو په وړاندې کولو کې د شراکت لپاره بالقوه وړتیا وڅېړی. حاضر د غونډې په ترڅ کې چې د ۲۰۲۰ کال د ډسمبر په ۱۷ مه د KU په اداری کمپلس کې ترسره شوه: ډاکټر یونیز ګیتای- د ارواپوهنې ریاست، ډاکټر پاملا کیټرو- آیایس سوپ کینیا، ایونز اولو- صدر ایایس سوپ کینیا او ډاکټر بیټرایس کاتونګو-کو/ایس ایس اپ د نورو استادانو په منځ کې.

The Annual General Meeting for ISSUP Kenya, which is mandated by law for all societies and constituted our national conference, was held today, online. There was a good turn out and several resolutions were made which will be ratified by the executive committee before being announced to the broader membership. 

We continue to be encouraged by the activity and participation of the membership and look forward to more engagement as we build and develop our chapter.

ISSUP Kenya in partnership with the PCEA graduated the first cohort of trainees on basic UTC course:a total of 30 participants.The ceremony at the Kikuyu mission hospital was graced by the Governor of Kiambu County,His Excellency James Nyoro, In coming SG of the PCEA, Rev. Dr. Waihenya and the CEO of Kikuyu hospital Dr. P.Kimpiatu. Other officials present included Rev. Dr. W. Kogo, ISSUP Kenya Executive Dr. Richard Gakunju & Vice president ISSUP Kenya Ms. Susan Gitau.

ISSUP کینیا د PCEA سره په شریکه د یو ټی سی په اساسی کورس کې د کاروونکو لومړنی ملګری فارغ شو: په مجموعکې 30 ګډون کوونکی. دغه مراسم د کیکویو د ماموریت په روغتون کې د کیمبو د ولایت والی ، ښاغلی جیمز نیورو ، د پی سی ای ای په راتګ کې ، د رایو ډاکټر واینیا ، د کیکویو د روغتون د مشر ډاکټر پی کیمپیاتو لخوا وشو. په نورو حاضرو چارواکو کې ریو. ډاکټر ډبلیو کوګو، د آیایس سو پ کینیا اجرایوی ډاکټر ریچارډ ګکونجو او مرستیال ولسمشر ISSUP کینیا میرمن سوزان ګیتاو شامل وو. مبارکی ټولو ته. 

ISSUP کینیا خوشحاله شوه چې په دې کلونو کې د روانی روغتیا نړیواله ورځ د چیرومو دماغی روغتون او د APA بیمې شرکت سره په ملګرتیا کې ګډون وکړی. د ۱۰۰ څخه زیات ګډون کوونکی د مادې د استعمال د بې نظمۍ په اړه د ویبنار سره یوځای شول: د کورنۍ او همکارانو رول په کار ځای کې. 

Today marked the graduation of the inaugural ISSUP-Kenya/PCEA training cohort for UTC. It was moderated by our very own Deputy President, Mwalimu Susan Gitau, and our patron Dr. Richard Gakunju with guest of honour being Governor of Kiambu County, Eng Nyoro. They’ll be sitting the exams soon. Today was presentation of certificates of course completion. Well done to them, and all the best for the exams. (They were a delight to train with)👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

On behalf of ISSUP Kenya, I presented our memorandum to the Mental Health Task Force of the Ministry of Health. The task force, which  was set up following a cabinet directive chaired by the President of the Republic of Kenya, seeks to gather public views on challenges and solutions about the state of mental health in the country. As a professional body we advocated for substance use disorders to be treated as a mental health issue and not just a security or moral  issue.
